Last Tuesday was an eventful day.
We had an election that day. Joe Biden will be the new President of the United States. He defeated Donald Trump, although we had to wait 3 1/2 days to find out who the winner was because of slow vote-counting. I can’t say I’m in love with Biden, but I’m very relieved that Trump will soon be gone. I really couldn’t stomach his aggressive behavior, lack of humility, constant anger, spreading of contention, lack of empathy and concern for anyone but himself, and perpetual exaggeration and lying. He seemed to have a way of bringing out the worst in people. The peace-maker in me just couldn’t handle it.
Tuesday was also the day that I took the Washington State Real Estate exam and passed. It was harder than I expected and I ended up taking nearly the full 3 1/2 hours of time allotted. They didn’t give out my score, but I’m pretty sure I just barely passed. They have told me it will take 2 or 3 weeks to process the exam and receive my license. In the meantime I’ve been talking to a couple guys who would like me to join ExpRealty under them. I think I’m going with Josh Shoenly. I’m also working on my strategy and a Messenger bot. I’m hoping to focus mainly on generating tentant-buyer leads and passing them to other agents in exchange for a percentage of the commission when they close.
By the way, my strategy for studying and passing the exam was to skip most of the reading material and only take the quizzes and exams. I studying hundreds of practice questions and was feeling good about those, but the actual exam seemed to bear little resemblance to the practice questions and there were quite a few that I had to guess the answers to. I don’t think I would recommend my strategy to anyone else and would have really regretted it if I had failed.
